Holidays

MCHC offers all employees paid time off for the following ten holidays:

Labor Day
Columbus Day
Veterans Day
Thanksgiving Day
Christmas Day

New Years Day
Martin Luther King Jr. Day
Presidents Day
Memorial Day
Independence Day

All MCHC employees are paid for 8 hours of holiday pay at their normal rate, regardless of whether they were normally scheduled to work on the day the holiday falls on.  MCHC employees who work in departments that cannot close for holidays and work on the holiday, are paid 8 additional hours of holiday pay at their normal rate for that day.

Paid Vacation/Sick Time

MCHC offers all full time (32 Hours/Week +) employees  paid vacation.  Vacation begins to accrue after the employee's 6 month anniversary.  Vacation accrual rates are based on the number of hours worked per week and exempt/non-exempt status (hourly or salary).

All MCHC employees begin to accrue sick time from their first day of employment at 1 hour per 30 worked.  Employees may begin to use sick time after 90 days of employment.

Medical/Dental/Vision Insurance

MCHC offers full time employees a selection of medical, dental and vision coverage.  Employees are eligible the first day of the month following the completion of 30-days after hiring.  MCHC pays a cap of $400 per month per employee for any combination of coverage.  Medical coverage is offered through Blue Cross and a variety of tiered pricing plans are available.

AFLAC Supplemental Insurance

MCHC offers AFLAC supplemental benefits to all full time and 3/4 time employees. These benefits are 100% employee paid and pay the employee/policy holder cash at time of claim to cover lost pay and other expenses associated with an accident or illness. The following are a few of the available options: Accident, Personal Disability Income Protector, Cancer Indemnity Plan, Life Protector, Hospital Indemnity.

Simple IRA

MCHC provides eligible employees a path to building their retirement funds. Employees are eligible after 1 year of employment. Monthly contributions are deducted from your paycheck and deposited into a suitable investment of your choice. Employee contributions are deducted on a pre-tax basis and MCHC will match employee contributions up to 3% of the employee's annual gross income.
